About the Project
The ten weeks I was in Writing for Influence introduced me into the world of public relations and how important it is to have connections with journalists. In this final project, I was a hypothetical PR agent pitching a story about my client, Duck Rides, to promote its new app. In this project, I had to conduct an interview, capture B-roll footage, take several photos, and write a press release. All of which I combined into a media kit and pitched to a journalist to hopefully make it on the news. For this final, I got a 145/150.
